Itinerary for 4 Devi Darshan in Himachal
Day 1: Anand Pur Sahib Arrival - Naina Devi Shaktipeeth - Baba Balak Nath Deotsidh
The first day of your spiritual journey starts from Anand Pur Sahib. On your arrival at Anand Pur Sahib railway station you will be received by our representative at the railway station. If you wish you can freshen up (Charges extra) or proceed to Naina Devi Shaktipeeth by road. We will drive you until the last point near Parking of Temple. The temple of Naina Devi Ji is positioned on hilltop & you can reach the peak of hill by following the concrete stairs or using ropeway facility. The eyes of Devi Sati fall at this place. After darshans we will drive for about 3 hours to reach Baba Balak Nath Temple at Deotsidh. Visit Shahtalia Temple the place where Babaji observed penance and Deotsidh Cave of Baba Balak Nath Ji.
Baba Balaknath is a medieval cave temple located in the Dhaulagiri range of Himachal Pradesh. The cave houses an idol and is considered the abode of Babaji. Devotees throng this site throughout the year. The rush at this temple increases particularly during the religious festival of Navaratra.
Sunday is an auspicious day and you will mostly see local devotees on the premises. They offer "rot" (bread prepared with flour and sugar) at the altar. There is a platform for female devotees opposite the main cave for darshan (sighting of the idol). Female devotees are not allowed to enter the inner sanctum.
After darshan we will drive for about 2 hours to reach Jwala Mukhi. On reaching check in to your hotel. Freshen up and you can attend Shayan Aarti of Jwala Mukhi Ji. Night stay at hotel.
Day 2: Jwala Ji Shaktipeeth - Kangra Devi ( Brajeshwari Devi) Shaktipeeth- Chamunda
In the morning visit Jwala Ji Shaktipeeth dedicated to Jwala Devi- the presiding deity in the form of flames. Due to this fact, the goddess is also referred as the 'Flaming Goddess'. As per the legends Jwala Ji Devi temple is also one of the 04 Shaktipeeths in Himachal where the mouth or tongue of Devi Sati fell here at the time of self-sacrifice. Ever since, the Goddess occupied the place and she manifested in nine flames that are named as Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhya Vasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi respectively. Seek the divine blessings from Jwala Mata Ji & spend some time visiting the nearby temples such as Gorakh Dibbi & Garbh Grih.
Later proceed for the Kangra Devi or Brajeshwari Devi Shaktipeeth. The drive ususally takes around 1 hour to finish. The main deity of this temple is Bajreshwari Devi who is also known as Vajrayogini . She is also the incarnation of Parvati, the Goddess or Aadi Maya on the Earth. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Devi Mata Ji in India. After darshans we will drive for 1 more hour towards Chamunda Devi.
On reaching Chamunda Devi check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later visit Chamunda Devi Temple which is a shrine to the wrathful form of Goddess Durga or Chamunda who in Hindu Mythology is the symbol of female power. The idol of Goddess Chamunda in the temple is considered so sacred that it is completely hidden beneath a red cloth and is kept so always. You can attend evening aarti of Mata Chamunda Ji. Night stay at hotel near Chamunda Devi.
Day 3: Chamunda Devi- Bagla Mukhi-Chintpurni -Amb / Una
Early in the morning you can attend the morning Aarti of Chamunda Devi Ji. Check out from hotel and proceed for Baglamukhi. It is believed that worship of goddess Baglamukhi acts like a weapon to stop your enemy from doing harm against you. Goddess Baglamukhi also has the power of turning things into its opposite. She can turn silence into speech, ignorance into knowledge, defeat into a victory, ugliness into beauty and poverty into wealth. Later we will drive for 1 hour to reach Chintpurni Devi.
Chintapurni or Chhinnamastika Devi temple is also a major pilgrimage centre as it is one of the Shakti Peethas in India. It is surrounded by the western Himalayas in the north and east in the smaller Shivalik range. The temple is dedicated to Chhinnamasta or Chinnamastika Devi and is one of the 7 major and 51 total Shakti Peethas. It is believed that part of Sati’s forehead fell at this place and thus Chhinnamasta is said to be the severe-headed one or the fore headed-one. The fairs during Navaratri and Chaitra are widely popular here.
Later drive back towards Una / Amb / Daulatpur railway station. In the evening board your train & return back to your desired destination with blessings of Durga Mata Ji.
